DTSB ST. PADDY’S EVENT SEES RECORD CROWD
What’s large, white, filled with great people, two bands, food and fun? Why it’s the St. Paddy’s Day Tent Party & Pub Tour. The 2008 event broke all past attendance records with nearly 3,000 people present at the Tent Party and over 4,700 participating in the Pub Tour. The near perfect weather conditions also made for an extra enjoyable evening. Here’s what a few of our “Pub” participants had to say…

Come kick-off St. Patrick's Day in downtown South Bend on Friday, March 14, by attending the St. Paddy's Tent Party & Pub Tour, 5:00 - 11:00 p.m. The Tent Party will be held in the parking lot next to the Morris Performing Arts Center in downtown South Bend. Open only to those 21 and over, a $5 admittance fee gets partygoers into the Tent Party, onto the Trolleys free of charge, and access to the popular Pub Tour.
The Tent Party will feature two bands; Mack Pherson & The Struts and StillShot. StillShot will kick the Tent Party off beginning at 5:00 p.m. with Mack Pherson & The Struts taking the stage at 7:00 p.m. Along with the live entertainment, festive food and drink will be available for purchase.
A Trolley riding Pub Tour of favorite downtown hotspots begins at 5 p.m. Transpo Trolleys will transport partygoers to each participating "Pub" free of charge until 12:30 a.m. Click on the

Irish American Idol Competition Finals -8:30 p.m.
Fiddler's Hearth, 127 N. Main Street. Sponsored by the Michiana Celtic Society. A traditional A Capella Irish singing contest. Must be at least 16 years of age to enter. Celebrate Mass at St. Patrick's Catholic Church - 9:00 a.m.
309 S. Taylor St. Hosted by the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Mass will celebrate the feast of St. Joseph. Free Transpo Trolley shuttle service between St. Patrick's Church and the parade route.
11TH Annual St. Patrick'S Day Parade - 11:00 a.m.
The parade starts at Frances St. and Jefferson Blvd and goes west on Jefferson Blvd. It goes North on Niles Ave. and ends there. Sponsored by the Michiana Celtic Society.
